Booka Shade releases debut single Bad Love from forthcoming album More!

Having had a great start to 2010 with the single release of Donut, as well as announcing the release of their epic fourth LP More!, Booka Shade now give us Bad Love, the first official single from the album.

There’s little that hasn’t already been said about Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger, aka Booka Shade. Ever since they co-founded their Get Physical label in 2002, the duo have been on a steady rise to now being regarded as two of the world’s finest producers of electronic music. Having quietly produced and written nearly all of the label’s early club hits, it wasn’t until the release of their debut LP Memento that they truly started making a name for themselves.

With the scene set they followed it up with the stone-cold classic Body Language (the label’s best ever selling single) in 2005 and their seminal second LP Movements in 2006, which included hits such as Mandarine Girl and In White Rooms, underlining it’s status as one of the last decade’s classic electronic albums. It was also around this time that the pair properly launched their live show, consisting of Walter on keys/vocals/effects and Arno on drums/vocals, elevating them from studio producers to soon-to-be global stars.

Booka Shade have performed at every major festival in the last 3 years, including notable shows at Coachella in the US and Glastonbury in 2008, and most recently in Australia at Future Music Festival along with their mind-blowing sold out solo shows in Melbourne and Sydney. They now stand alongside The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Basement Jaxx and Faithless as one of the biggest draws for live electronic music. Now in 2010, they are back for More! with the release of their fourth album (following their legendary DJ KiCKS mix and The Sun & The Neon Light LP) and a full live schedule to run throughout the year. Bad Love, the first single from More!, is an irresistible, neo-classical vocal house tune, featuring long-term compadre, Chelonis R. Jones. Continuing in the rich vein of classic Booka Shade productions, the duo combine beautiful, melancholic melodies with futuristic tech production which will undoubtedly be one of the anthem’s of the coming months. This is the sound of masters at work.

Backed up with an amazing remix package that combines notable mixes from heavy hitters such as Cassius, Groove Armada, as well as some of the most exciting new talent in Tim Green, Azari & III and Joe & Will Ask!
