Thick as Thieves presents Spektre (UK) Australian Tour
17 – 25 April 2010
The UK’s most highly anticipated and sought-after tech duo Spektre are making their way over to Australian shores for what is expected to be a massive sell out tour.
Paul Maddox and Filthy Rich (a.k.a Richard Wakley) came together through a bond of minimal techno, and a willingness to experiment unmercifully with new sounds. Although coming from two very diverse musical backgrounds, their shared passion for minimalism and a mutual desire to push sound boundaries using the most cutting edge technology available created a lethal combination. With their razor-sharp beats, dark sinister sounds and twisted vocals, their releases and live sets have been menacing dance floors worldwide, from the UK, Mexico, the US, Ukraine, Spain, Greece, Israel, Romania, Germany, Austria, Portugal and the Netherlands.
At the end of November 2009, they launched their own record label Respekt which was derived from an anagram of their artist name. Respekt Recordings is the main platform for the pair’s rolling tech-house and techno. Spektre’s debut studio album ‘Casting Shadows Without Light’ will be released late April 2010.
