San City High is the extension of the colossal music brand that is Kissy Sell Out. His pedigree is second to none, beyond comparison amongst his peers. He is a ground breaking and pioneering DJ and producer (having worked with artists as diverse as Mark Ronson, Gwen Stefani, Sugarbabes, Calvin Harris and Frank Music). Kissy is also a key broadcaster at Radio 1 and his own critically acclaimed artist album – released in the UK in the summer of 2009 via Warners- ensured his band’s place firmly across all UK and European festivals, and guaranteed a sold out debut tour throughout Britain.
Kissy’s reputation as a much in demand DJ, producer and Broadcaster gives him access to the freshest undiscovered talent equally as the most influential music makers and media. This is the combination that Kissy wants to profile and support on his label…hot, undiscovered talent and rock solid established acts…the common factor being exciting, incredible and accessible music for the public.
Kissy’s musical skills and keen A&R talent have led him to discover many up and coming artists whom he has gone on to successfully champion. These include cutting edge producers Jack Beats, Boy 8 Bit and Moda’s Jaymo and Andy George, and bands including Late of the Pier, Does it Offend You Yeah? and Australia’s Art vs Science who are ones to watch in 2010.
His successful DJ career has seen him travel the world at the most high profile events and festivals…WMC, Noorderslaag, Exit, Pukkelpop and Ibiza Rocks to name a few. His ‘Mashed’ compilation in Australia (released through Ministry of Sound) sold close to 30,000- the highest sales for that Ministry compilation type. His international fan base is increasing as rapidly as his UK…something that will be cemented by the release of his debut artist album throughout Europe and Australia in March 2010 (via Warners/ADA and Ministry Australia respectively).
