Thick as Thieves presents Prins Thomas (NOR) Sydney & Melbourne shows announced
Known for his killer gigs and being modest when referred to as “the best DJ in the world”, Prins Thomas is gracing Australia for two shows only in February.
Best known for his collaboration with fellow Norwegian producer Hans-Peter Lindstrom, they created the pinnacle of the on-going fascination with retro futurism and their self-titled debut album for the Belgian Eskimo Label.
DJing from a very young age, Thomas started in his bedroom with turntables doing tape edits. Going back to 1984 at just 9 years old, he was inspired by “Wild Style” and the first hip-hop culture boom in Europe.
But now with two labels under his belt, Full Pupp and Internasjonal, his trademark cosmo-disco sound can be heard, as well as his love for other music styles such as kraut, psychedelic and dub.
Thomas’ sets will undoubtedly shake up the dance floor. Fortunately for us he thrives in long sets, at times going for as long as twelve hours straight! His excuse: “It’s always difficult when you have a big bag of records and they all want to participate.”
Get geared up to be in royal presence and ready to bow down to the prince of Norway!
