Thick as Thieves presents Optimo (UK) tour 5-12 March 2010
Glasgow-based duo Optimo are returning to our shores for their 3rd Australian tour. Twitch & Jonnie Wilkes are without a doubt two of the most exhilarating DJs in the world right now. They combine everything from electro, rock and 80’s New York, though to funk, reggae and jazz, as well as their own edit’s and productions in what transforms into one mind-blowing DJ set.
The pair began working together in 1997, at which point they each had 10 years DJing experience already under their belts. That same year they founded their club (also named Optimo) a new, unrestrictive and creative club being ‘tired with their firmly rooted techno-based nights’.
Optimo are renowned for never having two sets the same and no two mixes identical. They believe that no two audiences are the same, therefore drawing inspiration on the spirit of the crowd and the rhythm of the moment, making their shows absolutely worthwhile. You can’t afford to miss it!
