Andy George and Jaymo tourin down under for the first time January 2010

They’re not just DJs – they’re managers, producers and presenters as well. There’s much more to discover about these likely lads as they head to Australia for the first time.

Hailing from the UK, Andy George and Jaymo’s performances have won them an army of fans, most notably in the form of super-producer and uber-cool Kissy Sell Out, who nominated them as his favourite new DJs.

The duo are currently heard on Britain’s airwaves and have a show on the Brits’ legendary Radio 1. Their sound is a bit of disco, a dash of house, a stab of electro, and a dollop of techno. It’s basically anything that gets people moving. Always up for a challenge, the lads are not the complacent types.  They’ve been hard at work on remixes for Passion Pit, Ali Love and UK rapper Wiley. Moreover, in April the likely lads became two of the youngest people to ever record a live Essential Mix for Radio 1.

Also known for their Moda events and label (along with George and Jaymo, the Moda family consists of Tom Staar, Ben Atkins and Craig Duranti), times are booming for George and Jaymo. In fact, the label and events are going great guns all over Europe.

And 2009 got bigger and better as their Moda club night holding residency at Eden in Ibiza, providing the lads to knock out their own dance-floor bullets.

The guys have been DJing together for around three years and producing for approximately two. Although they acknowledge that they’re still learning the ropes, when guys like Fake Blood, Crookers and fellow Radio 1 presenter Annie Mac are playing your sounds, results tend to speak for themself.

Want a few interesting facts about Andy George and Jaymo?

•    Jaymo’s old skool genre of choice is French house, whilst Andy is a self-confessed garage freak
•    Andy keeps his most treasured promos hidden amongst his unusually large hair style
•    Jaymo has re-occurring dreams about being the third member of Daft Punk
•    As kids Andy & Jaymo used to record makeshift radio shows using 2 cassette players, a turntable and a dodgy microphone

Their musical goal is simple: they enjoy making club tracks and remixes whilst focusing on the Jaymo and Andy George sound.
